Managing our nursery staff

At Foundations for Learning, staff at all levels are expected to have 'the right priorities in the right order':

  1. Children
  2. Parents
  3. Colleagues
  4. Themselves

We aim to treat each member of staff as an individual, while encouraging them to be team players.

We believe that staff who truly put the children's interests first see no contradiction between our learning culture (encouraging them to learn and develop) and our regulatory culture (tight procedures for supervision, with daily inspections, both systematic and random).

We also ask all staff to show initiative, encouraging them to do 'better than people might expect and better than the situation calls for'

We have a partnership ethos and recruit staff in the expectation that everyone will share a sense of ownership.

We offer a range of different services, clubs and curriculum extras at our nurseries.
