Opening Times: While our standard hours of opening are from 8 am to 6 pm, most of our nurseries offer arrangements for an earlier start or a later pick-up. All our nurseries are open from Mondays to Fridays and for at least 51 weeks in the year. Nearly all our nurseries are closed on Bank Holidays.

Services for Children in School: A number of our nurseries offer services for young school children including:

• After School Clubs where children are offered a range of activities to keep them entertained at the end of the school day.
• Breakfast Clubs to help busy parents who need an early start to get to work
• School Escort Service to take children safely from nursery to school at the beginning of the day and then from school back to nursery in the afternoon.
• Holiday Clubs to keep children entertained when school is out. These usually run during Half-Term breaks as well as during the Christmas, Easter and Summer Holiday periods.

For Children Not Yet Ready for Nursery: A number of our nurseries run créches and Mothers & Toddlers Groups. Generally, these operate on set days during the week. The duration of sessions will be at least two and a half hours and is often longer.

Curriculum Extras: Our nurseries in Bury take pre-school children for swimming lessons. All our nurseries take children on trips and outings; details are available from the nursery manager. Music is treated as a 'Core Subject' in our nurseries because of its importance in the development of language and the role that singing plays in a child's social development. Where possible, our nurseries employ the services of a visiting Music Teacher to lead specific sessions as part of the overall curriculum programme
