A 33-place day nursery established in purpose-built premises at one end of The Hub Community Centre on Star Lane. There are two separate nursery rooms, one for Babies and one for Explorers aged 2 to 5-years old. The room for Babies has its own nappy-changing area. The nursery's outside play area is divided into sections, including a garden area, a circuit track for tricycles and toy cars, and grassed areas. There is also a separate outside play area for babies.

The Hub Community Centre includes a cafeteria, which is a good place for a coffee or lunch, meeting rooms available for hire, a pharmacy and other services.

Nursery meals and snacks are prepared and frozen off-site by Yum Yum Foods Ltd, working to menu guidelines prescribed by a consultant nutritionist and dietitian with a Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Meals are then defrosted and prepared to strict guidelines by staff on-site. Our success in weaning babies onto healthy eating has led to parent demand for Yum Yum's nutritious frozen meals to be made available for them to take home when they collect their child and this facility is now available.

Foundations for Learning has pioneered the use of a Single Integrated Curriculum for children from babyhood right through to Pre School. This ground-breaking development has been led by our own in-house teaching staff and our monthly activity plans for all age groups are prepared and delivered under the direction of our Corporate Curriculum Coordinator, who has both nursery education and teaching professional qualifications.
